Almont Captures Lead Early to Defeat Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers

Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 8-0 loss to Almont on Wednesday.  Almont took the lead on a single in the first inning.

The Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Almont, giving up eight runs.

In the first inning, Almont got their offense started when #27 singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

#29 was on the hill for Almont. The hurler surrendered zero runs on zero hits over six innings, striking out ten.

Drew Hosterman was on the mound for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers. The pitcher allowed five hits and six runs over four innings, striking out five.  Jett Weeder and Nolan Moore entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one-third of an inning respectively.
