Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers Beat Carrollton Varsity Cavaliers

Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers were victorious against Carrollton Varsity Cavaliers 5-1 on Saturday.

Carrollton Varsity Cavaliers got on the board in the fourth inning after Ethan Hebl hit a solo home run to right field.

Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers took the lead, 5-1, in the bottom of the fourth thanks to doubles by Braylon Collins, Ethan Torrez, and Braylon Davis.

Wyatt Frey earned the win for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers. The righty gave up one hit and zero runs over two and one-third innings, striking out none and walking none. Hebl took the loss for Carrollton Varsity Cavaliers. The starting pitcher went five innings, giving up five runs on four hits, striking out four and walking four. Shane Slanec led things off on the bump for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers. The starter allowed three hits and one run over three and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking three.

Frey, Collins, Davis, and Torrez each collected one hit for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers. Collins and Torrez each drove in two runs for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers. Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers turned one double play in the game. Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Caden Tang made the most plays with eight.

Adrian Becker, Chase Siemienkiewicz, Andrew Spiece, and Hebl each collected one hit for Carrollton Varsity Cavaliers. Hebl led Carrollton Varsity Cavaliers with one run batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 1-for-3 on the day.
