Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers Victorious Over Armada

Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers were victorious against Armada 8-5 on Tuesday.

Armada got on the board in the third inning after Pratt doubled, scoring two runs.

Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers captured the lead, 4-2, in the top of the fourth when Jax Johnston drew a walk, scoring one run, Wyatt Frey laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.

Johnston earned the win for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers. The right-handed pitcher gave up three hits and three runs over six innings, striking out two and walking four. #21 took the loss for Armada. The starting pitcher went five and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on three hits, striking out six and walking five. Xander Marshall collected the save. Alando Mendoza appeared in relief for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers.

Marshall went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Johnston led Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying nine walks for the game. Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers turned one double play in the game. Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers didn't commit a single error in the field. Ethan Torrez had the most chances in the field with 11.

Pratt went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Pretty led Armada with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up eight walks for the game.
