Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers Stymied By North Branch

Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers had trouble keeping up with North Branch in a 12-3 loss on Tuesday.

North Branch got on the board in the top of the first inning after #10 grounded out, and #23 singled to the right side of the infield, each scoring one run.

An error extended the North Branch lead to 3-0 in the top of the third inning.

#23 earned the win for North Branch. The hurler surrendered six hits and three runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking none. Jax Johnston took the loss for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers. The starter went four innings, surrendering seven runs (two earned) on four hits, striking out eight and walking two.

Johnston, Xander Marshall, and Ethan Torrez each drove in one run for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers. Braylon Collins led Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers with two hits in three at bats.

North Branch tallied nine hits in the game. #15 and #23 each collected three hits for North Branch. #7 went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in.
