Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers Defeats Imlay City On Back Of Clutch Display From Carter Ramage

Carter Ramage drove in four runs on three hits to lead Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers past Imlay City 9-5 on Tuesday. Ramage singled in the third scoring two, doubled in the fourth scoring one, and singled in the sixth scoring one.
Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers got on the board in the first inning after Braylon Collins laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run.
Brady Detwiler singled down the right field line, which helped Imlay City tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.
Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers took the lead in the top of the second inning after Braylon Davis singled down the right field line, and Xander Marshall grounded out, each scoring one run.
A single by Ramage, and an error helped Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers extend their early lead in the third.
Jax Johnston started the game for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers. The right-handed pitcher allowed six hits and five runs (two earned) over six innings, striking out nine and walking one. Griffin Wetzel led things off on the hill for Imlay City. The starter gave up seven hits and seven runs (five earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking three.
Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers collected 12 hits in the game. Ramage and Johnston each collected three hits for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers. Davis stole two bases.
Detwiler and Wetzel each drove in one run for Imlay City. Detwiler stole two bases.
