Almont Varsity Raiders Captures Lead Early to Defeat Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers

Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 16-1 loss to Almont Varsity Raiders on Wednesday.  Almont Varsity Raiders scored on a single by Kendall Roszczewski, a double by Lauren Webster, a single by Lydia LaCavera, a single by Kylie Tennant, an error during Devin Johnston's at bat, and a single by Elly Schapman in the first inning.

The Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Almont Varsity Raiders, giving up 16 runs.

Almont Varsity Raiders got things started in the first inning.

Myah McLean was credited with the victory for Almont Varsity Raiders. The righthander lasted four innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out six and walking zero.

Riley Robertson was on the rubber for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers. The righthander lasted one inning, allowing six hits and ten runs while striking out one and walking one.  Elara Rankin threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Rankin led Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers with one hit in two at bats.

Almont Varsity Raiders collected 12 hits.  Schapman, Tennant, and LaCavera each racked up multiple hits for Almont Varsity Raiders.
