Ella McMillan Leads Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers Past Marine City

Ella McMillan was dominant in the circle, as the starting pitcher rang up 12 strikeouts in Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers's 8-5 victory over Marine City on Friday. McMillan surrendered six hits and two runs over six innings while walking one.

Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Samantha Tunich singled, scoring one run, Kaelyn Platko grounded out, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.

Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Anastasia Pesina singled to center field, and Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run.

A Northrup took the loss for Marine City. The starter went seven innings, allowing eight runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out 11 and walking two. Rozlynn Cayce appeared in relief for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers.

McMillan led Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers with three hits in four at bats.

J Letson and R Atkinson each collected two hits for Marine City. M Griffin led Marine City with one run batted in.
