Ella McMillan Shows Power In Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers Loss To North Branch Varsity Broncos

Ella McMillan hit two home runs and drove in four, but Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers lost to North Branch Varsity Broncos 8-7 on Tuesday. McMillan homered in the fifth and seventh innings.
Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers lost despite out-hitting North Branch Varsity Broncos 11 to six. McMillan, Samantha Tunich, and Kaelyn Platko each collected two hits for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers.
A single by Emily Brinker put North Branch Varsity Broncos on the board in the bottom of the first.
Raegan Fenton hit a sacrifice fly, which helped Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers tie the game at one in the top of the second.
North Branch Varsity Broncos jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning after Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers committed an error, Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers committed an error, and Tia Beaver singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers tied the game in the top of the fifth thanks to a double by Tunich, and a home run to center field by McMillan.

Addison Cobb earned the win for North Branch Varsity Broncos. The southpaw gave up six hits and four runs over four innings, striking out three and walking three. McMillan took the loss for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers. The hurler went five and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs (zero earned) on six hits, striking out eight and walking one.
Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers accumulated 11 hits in the game.
Brinker drove the middle of the lineup, leading North Branch Varsity Broncos with two runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-3 on the day. North Branch Varsity Broncos stole four bases in the game. North Branch Varsity Broncos turned one double play in the game.
