Samantha Tunich Puts On Strong Contact Performance As Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers Take The Win Over Peck Varsity Pirates

Samantha Tunich collected three hits in three at bats, as Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers defeated Peck Varsity Pirates 12-5 on Monday. Tunich singled in the third inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.
Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Rozlynn Cayce singled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, and Kaelyn Platko singled, scoring one run.
A double by Leah Tiechow, a single by Tunich, and a line out by Ella McMillan helped Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers extend their early lead in the third.
McMillan earned the win for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers. The pitcher allowed one hit and one run (zero earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking none.
