Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers Defeat Brown City Varsity Green Devils Behind Strong Performance From Ella McMillan

Ella McMillan was dominant in the circle, as the righty rang up 11 strikeouts in Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers's 3-0 victory over Brown City Varsity Green Devils on Friday. McMillan allowed four hits and zero runs over six innings while walking none.

Both teams were strong in the circle. Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers pitchers struck out 11, while Brown City Varsity Green Devils sat down one.

Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers opened the scoring in the bottom of the fifth thanks to two singles. Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers first got on the board when Samantha Tunich singled, scoring two runs.

McMillan and Leah Tiechow each collected two hits for Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers. Tunich led Croswell-Lexington Varsity Pioneers with two runs batted in. The first baseman went 1-for-3 on the day.

Linzee Mathews, Sydney Mabee, Hayes, and Sami Hayes each collected one hit for Brown City Varsity Green Devils.
